On the back is ok. As long as it's on it somewhere.

On modern holsters it really doesn't matter where the mark is. When you're making a reproduction like this one, it needs to be close to where the original maker put it. I made a couple of holsters for Bobby Carradine, and he wanted the mark on the back side. They were just plain rigs for 5.5" Colts....so it really didn't matter.

Mick. Howdy. Is this the actor that you made the holsters for?  :icon_scratch:

Yeah....he was. He even sent me a couple autographed pics.....both say "thanks for the incredible holsters"......  He comes to Tombstone a couple times a year if not more.

That is great Mick. That’s good to know. I’ll bet it’s a blast living near Tombstone.

It is sure nice to hear some of the Hollywood people are down to earth. I had to contact Caravan West a couple of years ago( mistake on book I ordered). Peter Sherayko handled it personally and spent about 20 minutes on the phone just talking about things in general. Corrected the order and sent me an autographed picture of him from the movie Tombstone.

Peter hangs out in our shop often. He is a great guy too. I've got several pics taken with him. Definitely an avid cigar smoker. During some event weekends we let him set up a table in the shop to sell his books and sign autographs. Most every other celebrity charges $24-$50 for an autograph....he never charges a dime.
