1860’s are beautiful and that is a fine example. Congrats on that.Maybe it’s just the light or camera but has the upper rear area of the loading window been widened / recessed as is sometimes done to in order to fit longish conicals? The wedge screw looks almost flush with the frame but may just be optics.Real nice piece, LP.
Must be the photo, I haven't opened the port or done anything except drop a shim down in the arbor hole.
