I discovered the lock only works when out of the stock and held upright. Any other position and it will not catch full cock. I noticed there is a very tiny amount of sear movement. Take up the movement and it works. The weight of the sear is enough when it's upright. I took the sear out and upon close examination I found this. I have no idea how it happened or if not having the fly caused it but I can't see how it would.

I'd be giving Kibler a phone call.

I'll have to wait until next month. After paying for Rocky's cremation my bank account is cleaned out. I've got 103.00 in cash to get through the rest of the month. Even though the gun has only one trigger Jim uses the same lock for the Colonial which has a set trigger. When I put the lock back together I tested it by triggering it out of the gun and the sear hit the half cock notch and snapped off the tip. I stoned the broken tip but the spring wouldn't touch the sear. I foolishly tried to bend the spring since it just needed a smidge but of course the spring broke. I'll have to get a fly and a sear and spring. I'll just work on the ramrod and putting the rest of it together in the meantime. Maybe I should just get a new ramrod while I'm at it. With my luck I may need it. (7+"

I finally got it all together except for the ramrod and replacing the broken lock parts. Mistakes were made and I may fix some of them later on but probably won't.

Looking good Hawg!
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Yes it is considering I ordered a plain stock. I wish my phone took better pics. It takes great pics of pretty much everything except guns.

Once I get the ramrod issue straightened out maybe I can get back on the powder horn.

Yay me lol. I got the ramrod to fit. I chucked it up in a drill and ran the metal tipped end down and got it in until it bottomed out. I worked it back and forth maybe ten times, I wasn't counting. It was still tight and I couldn't pull it back out without the drill. I chucked the metal tip up in the drill and ran the big end down until it bottomed out and then worked it back and forth. It fit better but it was still tight but at least I could pull it back out without the drill. I chucked the ramrod up in the drill and hit the tip and about 12 inches of rod with a coarse file. Then I hit it with a piece of coarse emery cloth and some 220 grit sandpaper. Now it fits like it should. I'm going to wait until I work up a load for it before I cut it off.
