Fortner's Frontier Leather
« on: June 11, 2024, 01:19:55 PM »
Boy I hate doing this. Back in January I ordered a shoulder holster from the above company. We communicated by E-mail several times to get the order straight. After that it was several more to establish payment method which eventually was my wife's PayPal account. Each time I sent an E-mail I received an almost immediate response from Mr. Fortner(I presume). After a few weeks I sent another E-mail to make sure the payment was received and the response was "it's finished and I already sent it out". I tried to verify a tracking number with him and I got no response--ever. After repeated attempts over the course of months I never did get a reply to my situation. To top it off, PayPal wouldn't honor the deal with a refund. I finally placed an order for a similar shoulder holster with El Paso Saddlery and was very happy with the quality.
What finally prompted this was another E-mail from Fortner's with "another great deal for you!!!" Better carefully consider placing an order with Mr. Fortner.
Only Blackpowder is interesting.

Sorry you got bamboozled by this guy Navy Six.    I primarily use PayPal and always use "goods & services" category,  never pay a bill with "friends & family".    I've never  lost a dispute when paying with PayPal (won both disputes) and I have never had anyone dispute or request a refund from me.
Deals like this not only reflect badly on the seller but also cast others with the same business model in a bad light.

I am very sorry to hear that Navy. That kind of thing can really make your blood boil.

Next time you have gun leather needs, check with Mike116. His work is outstanding. Also, Shotgun Dave and Marshal Will do some mean leatherwork as well.
