Kibler woodsrunner firing
« on: October 16, 2024, 04:09:56 PM »
My stepson came down and we shot the Kibler Woodsrunner .54 The charge was 90 grains of Swiss 3F but it doesn't sound like it. I'm the fat ass in the red T shirt. If I'd known his gf was recording I'd have pulled my pants up. (7+"

Nice Hawg! How accurate is it with 90 grains?
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Very. I hit left of center because I'd just put a taller rear sight on it and hadn't sighted it in yet. The target was on a narrow cardboard box at about 25 yards. It had a brick in the bottom of the box to keep it from falling over. Talon hit way low and shattered the brick prompting me to say what I did. That was incidentally his first shot with a flintlock.

He's not new to black powder. He hunts with an  :smiley-rolleyes008: inline. He has a CVA Hawken but I don't think he's ever shot it. His boss has a flintlock and he's seen it fired. He said he was surprised at how fast mine is. The one his boss has always sounds like a hang fire. He really liked shooting mine and I could tell he was impressed. He showed his boss the videos and his boss couldn't believe how fast it was.
