Cold winter day

Might as well size some bullets cast yesterday on a not quite so cold winter day.

Dave, do you do most of your casting over the winter months? Sizing now is a good idea but you didn't mention if you were going to lube them as well, or what type of lube you would use. Your bullets look nicely filled out. Not trying to get picky, it's just these are the things I do over the cold winter months. I usually do most of my casting in the Spring/early Summer. I spent today rolling paper cartridges for the .36 and will do some .44s tomorrow.
Only Blackpowder is interesting.

I cast in the insulated garage with a fan exhausting air through a window above the pot and another window cracked open for inflow.  As such I tend to cast on temperate days; yesterday 37, close enough; tomorrow 8 degrees not so much.

The ones in the photo are as cast, hadn't culled yet.  Sized and lubed some on Lyman sizer.

I'm stuck casting outdoors, but I don't mind even if the temperature gets a little high. If it does, I get my session in before noon. I no longer go on my 'marathon" casting sessions like I used to. About 2 hours is all I care to do now, as I get tired and sloppy after that. However, I still enjoy casting and don't begrudge the time spent doing it.

Nice! I haven't done any casting marathons in some time now.
