Got a 9mm bullseye competition tomorrow 25 metres single hand precision.
She's a Norinco, a faithful copy of a Colt 1911, isn't she pretty ?
Wish me luck ?
-
Hey that's nice Necessaryevil!! :cowboypistol: Woohoo. Best of luck to you my friend.
-
Thanks, I'm going to need it.
IPSC and IDPA are my usual fortes......here goes nothin.
-
Good luck!
-
It's been heavily modified. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. Back in the day they were sought after for making race guns because the steel in them is so hard. A lot harder than anybody else uses. Gunsmiths hated them.
-
Good luck NE!!!
That is a beauty!

Yeah, no longer available to you in the U.S thanks to Slick Willy Clinton.
I did all the mods except the plating on the frame. Originally it's was .45acp, from the factory a 1911A1 copy. The blued slide in the pic is a 9mm conversion kit.
The original forty five slide is plated same as the frame. It shoots superbly in both calibres, very accurate and reliable.
Takes seconds to switch calibres.
Thanks for all the best of luck wishes gents but I'm not really a 25 metre bullseye precision shooter.....I probably didn't do very well :nocomment:
-
Good luck NE!!!
That is a beauty!
Thanks Dave................No results yet.
I'll tell you how I got on....How far down the list I ended up, well I will if it's not too bad (7+"

I'll be looking forward to hearing, no matter the results. At least you're out shooting and competing. That's a lot more than most of us are doing.
-
Not been doing enough shooting or competing mate..............I intend to rectify that very shortly though. :cowboypistol:

Good for you! Have fun! That's what it's all about....
-
Well........As I say IPSC and IDPA are my normal fortes.....Check out the list, I'm not Spanish and I'm not Chinese so I shouldn't be too hard to spot .....I didn't come last though (7&
-
Not Spanish, Not Chinese...got it! :usa-flag-89:
-
Hey NecessaryEvil...You placed pretty okay it looks. As you said, did not place last. :) I'll bet that was fun. How often do you have the opportunity to compete?
-
They run a few competitions every month. 9mm, .22 and Fuego central, all strong hand 25 metre bullseye shoots.
April is the 1st IPSC comp this year, I do well in them. Production optic with my Glock 17 or Sig Sauer P228.

Nice score there, NE.
-
Very nice done!
How did an Irishman end up in Spain?
-
Thanks Dave.
My grandparents from Cork and Waterford ended up in Liverpool, England I was born there.
I retired in 2008 and moved to Spain and here I have managed to re-acquire all the same guns Tony.B.LIAR took away from us in England in 1997.......Just like that Norinco............ not a Colt. |o_
-
Nice score there, NE.

It's good to know you're doing well. No matter where you are, we're glad you're here!
-
