All three were ones I don't have. Nothing exciting but I've never seen this CCI tin and I've never seen a Fiocchi percussion cap tin that was not labeled Alcan on it somewhere, this Fiocchi can is aluminum. I've seen the green & white label but never a light blue one. The CCI tin and the Fiocchi tin are nearly full.

« Last post by mike116 on April 20, 2024, 05:57:22 AM »I have several revolvers I bought new, both Pietta and Uberti. There is no consistency in the size of caps that work with each revolver. I always have four sizes of caps with me. That's the argument for Slixshot nipples. Change all your nipples to Slixshot which are sized for #11 caps. Look at the link below for a list of the caps that Slixshot says fit their nipples.

Rem. 10's = CCI 11's = RWS 1075'S
I use factory nipples. RWS 1075 are too big. Remington #10's fit good. CCI #10's are tight but they're all I use. CCI #11's are too big.

Around here, lots of deer have been killed with them. Also varmint hunting, as mentioned by others. To include feral hogs. In fact there have probably been more hogs killed with ARs in 5.56 than any other arm in Texas, Mississippi and Georgia.
I even have a .223 bolt action. It's a round that can get it done, if you do your part. And it's a lot cheaper to reload than .30-06.
Don't get me wrong; .30-06 is one of my favorite cartridges. But I'm a firm believer that it's not the gun that counts; it's the man behind the gun.
Buddy of mine harvested his garden, with some sort of high dollar .22 Bolt. Perfect bedroom window shot, and keeping it inside the house, none the wiser were anyone. But strangely enough, he had the only garden non-molested by whitetails. He could fill a quarter at 100 yards, so he eye shot them.
