I know Hawg, and I don't understand how lube down the barrel only would work either.

I watched a few of his videos and they're pretty good. However I don't understand how lubing the barrel with any kind of lube is going to let a Remington run for 70 shots.

Good one, Six.  J Stone, Cap and Ball Fanatic, is a good guy.  Some of his vids are worth the time.  He’s right out of central casting without trying to be; my idea of a pistolero.  He speaks well too, but doesn’t sound like Michigan.  Yesterday I watched him doing what he called Tutt shots, dualist, with a ‘51 at 75 yards.  He’s not all hat & air, the man can shoot.  I liked his Griswold vid too.

At least someone is having fun with cap & ball revolvers. This guy posts new You tube vidoes often and focuses on having a bit of fun with them along with the usual details. Nice change of pace.

Thank ya'll for your input.
Ordered 3 tins (250 caps ea)of RWS 1075 from Powder Valley.
That should last me for a while.
I'll report back when I get to use them.

The Dupont caps are older than the UMC caps. I've got some Dupont tins from the late 60's early 70's. The Fiocchi tin is pre 72.
