what year did they start the "bp only" warning? Navy Arms brasser to be specific. I'm not locating a proof mark on it.

I don't think it was an across the board thing at first. Some were as early as the late 60's. Others in the early 70's. If it has no proofs or date code it was a kit gun. I don't know if kits had the warning but I would assume so.

That and Navy Arms, and one token "171" (under the loading ram) are it on this kit brasser.

Kit gun. Not much way of knowing who made it or when.
