1860’s are beautiful and that is a fine example. Congrats on that.
Maybe it’s just the light or camera but has the upper rear area of the loading window been widened / recessed as is sometimes done to in order to fit longish conicals? The wedge screw looks almost flush with the frame but may just be optics.

I don't think it's any wider but it is a little longer. All of the signature series are like that.

Must be the photo, I haven't opened the port or done anything except drop a shim down in the arbor hole.

It's not the pics it's the way the sig series are made.

Congrats on the new Army. I had a fluted cylinder Signature Series a few years back and was sorry to have let it go.
