You are quite the Renaissance Man, Mike! I didn't know you made much other than gun leather!

Can't say for sure, but I've used them in the past and seem to recall they fit both #10 and #11 nipples. IIRC the SlixShots are #11-ish sized?

I get where P&U are coming from, trying to get newcomers into the SA-thing by means of cheap ammo that is readily available. But...
No. Just...no.
This whole thing could have been circumvented by one simple word. Just one.
"RELOAD"
Can't find .45LC, Schofield, .44WCF, or other hard-to-get carts?
Build your own. Tailor the load to your liking, be it mouse load or dragon, smokeless or black powder. And that's the only "Tayloring" you need to worry about. (Pun intended)
Intimidated? Remember, every time you stoke up your Colt Army, you are "reloading".
And that's all I've got to say about that.

I had a similar go with experimenting about a year ago, after Rick's thread. Shortly thereafter I bought 1000 caps from Cabelas.

A gun has to look the part. I agree that some of the CVA and TC guns look very little like what they are supposed to represent. I found the Lymans to be more like what my mind's eye wants to see when I think Hawken or plains rifle.

I have always seated primers on the press but lately I'm thinking about changing this up due to some primers being very hard to fully seat. Are you reaming primer pockets during brass prep?

Might try that with my Great Plains. If I ever shoot it, that is.
