Nothing really outrageous, but still interesting.  In this old series I have called The Blue and the Grey, the year is 1860 and the Father is trying to give his travelling son a New Police Model.  The year is right -barely- but curiously the stock is only oiled and the strappings are not plated in silver.

It s  fun seeing this stuff and picking it out.  No big deal, it s  always great to see the Colts and others in these shows. Even if the details are buggered up a little.

It seems parts, so far, are only available through Pedersoli support.

In the Dragoon book,-

I think it s  James E. Serven

In the old show  Yancy Derringer, there s  a scene where Yancy has a leverless Colt pocket model .31. The scene switches view points more than several times. Each time it does so, the pistol goes from the the Colt pocket to some kind of Colt Thunderer looking thing, back and forth until finally he s  holding the 'Thunderer'.

Curious what must go on as the scene is being filmed, and they have to 're-take' etc, all the stuff that goes on, the confusion and so on.

Fun.  It s  just one of those,-  Woah!  What the hey was that , ,!

Here s  something interesting,-

In one of my Colt Blackpowder boxes, the pamphlet is printed out of order. Not assembled out of order, but printed out of order.
Opening it, the Dragoons are presented. In the middle are the pages with the Walker, others and the accessories. The 60 Army is the last page.

Curious to discover these little anomalies. Like the Walkers with the wierd S#s and Colt s  Patent  frame stamp.

-----------------------------------------------------
That s  the pamphlet I m  talking about. The one that comes in the lid of the boxes.

Some of my Colts on duty.  You can see the Pocket Navys oiled stock. Instead of varnished.

These 3 books are really informative.

Some of the most interesting are the cartridge converted Paterson and Walker!

Hey!  I watched those scenes.  Wow!  That s  rare to get to see such a detailed scene showing the intricasies of the gun etc.  Yeah, the charging the chambers the way he did was funny.  That sucker sure could certainly draw and fire that thing! The twirling was impressive too.

Thank you for that.

Yes. Captain.  Remember how long it took before I saavy d  up to it?  A year?  Got it though.

You re  getting the Liege screwbarrel?!  I can t  wait to hear how you like its firing etc!

I have a blast with mine!

Be careful!  Once I fired it at a old and hardened 2 x 12 that was used for concrete forms. From 6' that fugg n  ball bounced off and hit me in the upper thigh. It broke the skin and bruised me.  Man!

At 12 yds though, it went right through one 1'' pine board and bounced heavily off the second one.
