Yessir. Indeed I did.

Just hog it out Tim. You won't regret it. I'd venture to say that most guys that convert their revolvers, never put the BP cylinder in it again. I'm sure there are exceptions of course. But most guys don't.

Glad you got out to shoot Mike. I almost forget what a gun feels like, it's been so long since I was able to shoot one. Gotta get the hell outta this God forsaken state.

I fear that forums are a dying breed. People aren't very likely to post when there's only 8 semi-active members. Facebook is slowly killing the forums off in just about every hobby.

It's much more gratifying to make a post and get 100's of responses, and many conversations started. Than it is to make a post, get two or three one word responses and then the topic dies.

Just my observation of course. As usual, I could be totally wrong.

Ballistol works great. But smells like feet, a$$, and old hot dog water. I'm not even allowed to open the bottle in the house. Hoppes #9 has a pungent odor too, but to me it's a pleasing odor. I think they should make those little Xmas tree airfresheners in Hoppes #9 scent. Quite manly.

I tried the Hoppes BP cleaner once. It didn't do anything that hot water and dish soap can't do. And as Capt pointed out, it's too expensive.

Nice score there Mike. Those pocket pistols are harder to get now.

Sorry I've been scarce lately. Just have a ton of stuff going on. Can't really shoot much in my little corner of Kommiefornia. Not a single indoor range will allow BP. And the only outdoor ranges are clubs, and as such only open to members. I've inquired into membership and it's a dead end. You have to get on their waiting list and the only openings come if there's a death of a member or someone quits. The wait is usually around 2 years. Who's got time for that? And the membership fees start around $600 plus a monthly fee. No thanks. That just leaves public land to shoot on, which is closed most of the year due to fire hazard.

I've been fooling around pretty heavily with my other hobby of slot cars too. Takes up quite a bit of my time. And now we have our daughter headed off to college in North Carolina pretty soon. That's going to be an adventure moving her across the country.

I'm still popping in here regularly, just not posting much. I'll try to do better.

Hope everyone are doing well.

This evening's tribute will be threefold. I will be using the Whitneyville I got from Jim to pop a cap. I will also be having a shot of whiskey in the "Attitude Adjuster" shot glass that Jim gave me, and I'll be pouring the whiskey from my Grandfather's flask. I will then use the powder dribbler that Em made me to put a little powder in my ash tray and touch it off. Thus I will honor Jim, Em, and my grandfather at the same time.
