Hi, there is finally some good news for New York State pistol permit holders. Although my Wyoming County doesn't put restrictions on their pistol permits, most other NYS counties do add restrictions like "Restricted to target shooting and legal hunting". To carry concealed for personal protection in NYS, one must prove need, a very high bar to achieve. Yesterday the US Supreme Court struck down the 100yr NYS permit restrictions law. The Court ruled that every good citizen of NYS has the right to concealed carry. This ruling should also benefit six other states, California included.Yes and immediately the non elected Gov K Hockel wrote and had passed by her majority party an even more restrictive response law. This is sure to go to court ASAP, Congressman Lee Zeldin running for the Gov seat quickly responded to her response law and will repel it if he wins in November. We still have work to do here in NY but at least the SCOTUS made a great ruling in our favor.
Finally a win for the good guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards,
Richard
Funny that in the movies they portray him as carrying and using a shorter barreled gun. You'd think as a gunfighter, he would. Instead he carried what looks to be a 7 1/2" gun. Very interesting.I was thinking the same thing about a short barrel revolver but who knows? Very very cool to see the video and photos of his gun thanks for posting. Don't you wonder who had the foresight to catalog that pistol and save it for all of time cause it looks like it's in great shape.
