Leather / Blackrock leather n rich

My brother talked me into buying a jar of this stuff, all I can say is its great. I used some on the leather washer handled knife I'm playing with, I finished the handles with 400 grit paper then Blackrock and buffing, I'm very happy with the results.

Leather / Leather washer knife handle?

So I'm finally getting around to putting one or two of those old knives I have back together, The leather washers I have are a real tight fit over the tang, I 'm pretty sure I need to rough up the smooth side of the washers but was wondering what would happen if I soaked these in water would that make them easier to get over the tang then clamp them to compress until dry or open the slot in the washers and install dry?

Just heard the last of the original 29 Navajo code talkers died Chester Nez he was 93. These Marines made a major difference in the pacific theater.

I've had a few Mr. Beer kegs laying around found them at a sale sometime back, made okay beer, we were in Sears Thursday and they had refill kits on sale for $17 so figure what the heck time to brew up another batch or two.

If I can get a few extra bucks together I think I'm going to pick up a RIA 1911 in 9mm and then the extra parts to convert it to 38 Super.

Off-Topic Discussion / Little scare/excitement last night.

I hear a pop then a much louder almost a bang coming from the kitchen, I'm thinking of getting my gun but walk into the kitchen only to find a bottle of pink Moscato wine had blown a cork threw the foil the another 15 feet across the room, wine all over the floor, checked the over bottle in the rack and it showed signs of cork movement so into the fridge. I've never had a bottle of wine do this.
This happened about 9:00 PM last night, and yes I keep a compact 1911 in the pocket on the recliner. Sounded at first like something happened in the garage.
