yup, tis the Tandy kit.  I'm scaling down versions for 49 Wells Fargo and Baby Dragoons, i have about 4 of the actual full size kits plus i copied the pattern.  Thinking about doing a few and offering em for sale, i got some positive feedback on facebook, so when i get some time, i might do that for a bit o pocket money, lol!

I don't know, i've never had a problem with Dixie.  I have one of their .44 snubbies and it's awesome!  (even better thanks to Goons Gun Works!).  I have two of the Pietta "62 Polices", not real big on historical accuracy but they are nice guns.  I actually carry one from time to time.  I pondered the Uberti, but my quality experience with them has been hit and miss.  (percussion revolvers, crappiest i ever owned; cartridge Cattlemen, among the best.), so i opted for Piettas, as i have yet to get a bad one out of around 15 or 20 of em.  Either way, the navy .36's are some fine revolvers to shoot! Cabelas has the brass framed navys on sale now for $149, so you could get a brand new one.  OR, they have the steel framed .36 navy for $179, or the steel framed civilian model (silver backstrap and trig. guard) for $229.  Best go new

are ya'll using conversion cylinders in the original .32 S & W, or are you talking about .32 S & W L?  I have an old Hopkins & Allen topbreak .32 in the original short cases, I believe my roundball loads are a bit more powerful, can't put much 3ffg in those little cases.  Fun gun, the .32 though.  I prefer my little Wells Fargo with the cap and ball cylinder, (been known to carry it).  ET is working on a set of grips for a Baby Dragoon i picked up a while back, that one i ain't shot yet, but both are ASM brassers, one with and one without the loading lever

I want a henry rifle, but what I need to do is replace the $500 plus bifocals i accidentally destroyed at work.  I been wearing a pair with an old single script lens to get by, but really need the real deal.  Wish my prescription wasn't so expensive, but that's what it is.  From Walmart, no less

I hear ya Mike.  I just wish Uberti would focus on quality control.  Every one i've ever owned, with the exception of the Cattleman, needed mechanical work  (i.e.  "dreaded short arbor").  Never had mech problems with Pietta.

I read somewhere that there is some historical relevance to this fantasy piece, it was based on one or something.  I just think they should have at least not had the locating pins on the front of the frame.  It would have made it look more like it was made that way, instead of them taking a regular 51 and putting a new barrel and different arbor arrangement on it.  Still pretty cool, but i probly will never own one

Put this pic up on a few forums after I tru oiled the grips and polished the brass and got some favorable responses, so here it is.  I'm sure some of yas have already seen it over at the gulch.

what size punch and type do you use to drift out the pins?  I have an old Flinter tower pistol that has a pinned barrel

I have another kit, still deciding what revolver is going to go with it.  I got some cool geometric stamps that look reminsescent of an old rig i saw from somewhere around the 1880's prolly try that technique out. Don't know whether i want it to pack a .44 sheriff Pietta 51, my sheriff Remmy sheriff, or it it would be ok for that pietta snubbie i carry around.  Or hell, one of the Pietta 62 police, or 61 Navy sheriff with a fluted cylinder, or whatever it is, lol! *6'
