Got mine yesterday.

The "quiky" Cabelas sale.
Beautiful. Tight with a trigger pull so light it will be a pleasure to shoot.
The photo next to my 1978 Navy also a Pietta, both dimensionally the same other than the grip,
that has been discussed extensively.
Now have the two. Thanks to Gary for the sale alert.

Cool Beans! So which grip do you like best?
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and tasteth good with ketchup.

That's interesting. I picked both of them up, one in each hand, then switched
hands .Both felt comfortable. I have small hands and acually the 1978 Navy Arms, bottom pictured, points
slightly easier with my left hand . The slight flare at the heel of the grip seems to balance  the over all weight.
Being right handed, eitheir one feels good.
Bottom line I'm happy with them. :)

Finally got out to the range today. Took the new 1851 Navy, the Remmy .36 "Black Friday ",a Henry .22 and the Ruger
SA 357 magnum.
Spent about two hours and shot only the Navy and Remmy. (@+  Tooooo much fun.
The Navy is very sweet. Nice light trigger the kind that breaks when you don't expect it . My first round I loaded Pyrodex 15 grains (Volume )
.375 ball ignited by #10 Remmington cap.
Hit bulls eye POA @ 20 feet. Oh this is way to easy, so  bumped the load up to 18 grains, 5 more shots and of course jerked......... low left  :(
After settling down was hitting slightly about 2" left with a group of approximatly 3" to 4".
Sorry no pics , just upgraded iMac to El Capitan and haven't set up photos yet.
The Remmy ? loaded 20 grains also Pyrodex and .375 balls , that one not so good , had to hold POA about 4" right and high to get hits at 3" left of bull.
I think the shorted barrel , now 4" didn't do it much good, but still fun to shoot, and get some attention from other shooters. "Hey that is nice... ahh what is it ?" *6'
This is my first Colt replica , I am now an official Colt Navy supporter.

I like my Colt Navys. I find my Remingtons easier to load, for some reason. And my Walker draws the most attention
