No 1st Gen for me either. At the last gun show I went to apparently there was a 1st Gen 1851 Navy for $750 but I never saw it, only heard about it as I was leaving and didn't have time to go back and look for it. I doubt I would have bought it but that is approaching my price range. I really want to see if an original grip frame would fit on a Uberti and/or Pietta.

I have a 1st ('60),1 second gen ('62), and a 3rd gen Colt ('73). This happened over a period of probably 25 years. Could be a possibility of getting one of the 2nd gen. Colts I sold several years ago back again. Oh, and a 1st Gen. Mexican copy of a '73 that I got several years ago as a parts gun; been puttering with that off and on when the mood strikes.

Now you just have to get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of any single one of those models.

There’s nothing better in the morning than the smell of bacon and black powder smoke!
