Pond work today.
« on: July 13, 2019, 06:38:21 PM »
Finally got some work done on the pond today. Finished putting in the rock-on-a-roll over-liner. Got the rest of the bamboo fencing up. Started the bamboo around the sump. We'll finish that tomorrow and start cementing down the edging blocks.

Hi Electric, that look very nice. It should be very relaxing sitting around your pond. What kind of fish are you going to put in the pond?

Regards,
Richard

We already have more goldfish in there than we need. We're trying to get rid of some of them.

Hi Electric, I have a couple of ponds on my property. One is 1/2 acre where I had large mouth bass stocked. Unknown to me a neighbor put a couple of Northern Pike in the pond. Say by by bass! Now all we have are mostly goldfish that my daughter let loose in the pond. In early spring a quarter of the pond is bright orange where the goldfish are sunning themselves. Where are the Pike when you need them? lol

Regards,
Richard

Richard, you need to have a Northern Pike fishing tournament. Charge a small fee, entrants keep their catch, and the entry fee goes to re-stocking the pond. Oh, and the tournament runs until the pond has been depleted of the Northerns!
