New engraved Piettas at Cabela's
« on: February 05, 2014, 08:12:47 AM »
I found three new laser engraved Pietta's at Cabela's this morning. There's a stainless 1858 and a blued 1860. Particularly interesting was the 1851 London in .44cal. I pirated a pic to post:

I really like the three I already have and will definitely have to pick up a couple of these new offerings.

congrats on such good looking pistols and good luck on acquiring another.

I don't believe anything is too nice or too pretty to shoot. I shoot all of mine, I just haven't yet had a chance to shoot those particular guns. I'm finishing up a flap holster for my engraved Open Top as we speak.

I have the engraved model that they sell with the Ivory Grips, the .36 "Wild Bill", and it is gorgeous as well as a great shooter!  I'm not one of the worlds biggest fan of the Remington, but I must say that engraved Remington they have is one of the most beautiful guns I have seen in a long time.  If the price tag wasn't as steep as it is, I believe I would have to get one.

Here is a crappy pic of the engraved 51 I have.

It may just be me, but those polished steel engraved pistols REALLY stand out! Is Cabela's the only store that carries the U.S. Marshal model? Cant find it anywhere else. I soooooo want one! :P

Best to check before you buy...most of them 'fancy-pants' guns are not polished steel, but rather nickel plating....over a BRASS frame. Know before you buy unless you don't care.

The Marshall model is definitely polished steel. The other two are nickel plated.
