Have had a pair of Red-Shafted Northern Flickers hanging around the suet feeder in the early morning for a couple of weeks now.

They were migrating through here about 3 weeks ago. Fun to see the migrating birds at the feeders and bird bath!

I think I was mistaken when I mentioned the Flickers migration; I believe they are year_round residents. Saw a couple at the heated bird bath today.

Great photos.
Love feeding the little birdies myself, but have had Flickers only once or twice (in 6 years feeding them here). If you could, would love to see some more pics.

EM, do you have a DSLR for your camera? I have been considering one myself, as I have 2 point-and-shoot Canon 450SDs now. They take nice pictures but are limited.
