I have a lot of luck with the spring traps. I wind string/ thread, several wraps, but not too much, around the trigger plate. Then Ill smear the peanut butter or press bits of a chocolate candy bar into the string so that the bait is not only on top of the string, but well into it. The critters may lick the bait off, but they get greedy and bite into the string. That jostles the trigger and springs the trap.
That's a good idea, DD! (or is that "22"? LOL!)
I was 0 for 0 last night. I figure it's:
a) No mice left to pester the traps
b) These mice don't order pepperoni on their pizzas...cheese only (duh, they're mice!)
c) They've lived through the Reign of Terror and are quaking in their nests, afraid to venture out.
I think I'm gonna buy a few more traps, leave the pepperoni ones set, and maybe try your string trick with PB and see what happens.
