Went to the range early ..the 1860 is fine
« on: August 01, 2021, 08:24:15 AM »
The work and help from here paid off.. it went boom on each trigger pull!… basically had a single action fest .. shot the Army and spent time sighting in a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt.. shot the big guys awhile then went back to one of my Navies… really makes you appreciate how sweet that navy is to shoot !

Hope everyone has a great day

Dave

I’m getting fond of that Blackhawk… and have been able to find some .45 colt lately… the long barrel makes it accurate and it’s a good solid design

It’s “new” to me and I spent some time (and ammunition)today with the adjustable sights to get a sight picture equivalent to my open tops … seemed like a good idea…

Indeed it was a good idea Suntiger.

Can't go wrong with a Ruger.

I had 3 over the years, but none now. The closest I have is Old Vaqueros. They are (were) built on the BH frame.

Any time you can get out and shoot is a good day. I like my navy revolvers to. I just got out a Colt 1860 that I rescued from a man that didn't want it any more. It was made by ASM, when I took the wedge out I could tell it must be made like the Ubertis cause the wedge has a dent on both sides where it was being slamed by firing it with out the arber bar didn't reach the bottom. Now I have been wanting to replace the wedge but can't find one. Dose anyone know if the wedge from a Uberti or Pietta will work in the ASM?  Suntiger I like the Blackhawks. I thank they are fine revolvers. :)
