Another Newbie from Virginia
« on: April 22, 2015, 09:38:50 AM »
Hi everyone.  I'm a retired soldier/MP now working in my second career as one of those underpaid and overworked civilian bureaucrats everyone loves to talk about. I've always been a shooter but after retirement I was talked into muzzle loading and caught that bug, then caught the COLT bug which became somewhat obsessive. My main interests fall into the 2/3rd Gen Percussion Revolver category, including a consecutive serial numbered set of 3rd Gen 1861 Custers, some Single Action Armies from Colt, USFA and Uberti and several Colt Officer Model DA revolvers, 1911s and a really nice 1961 era Match Target. I'm no expert by any means but they are fun to play with and to research.  I'm looking forward to lots of discussions here and to expand my knowledge.

Regards

Welcome to Colt Country! Pull up a log at the fire and set a spell. We'd be happy to trade our knowledge for some of yours, so don't be shy!

Welcome to the forum!  Grab a chair and get some coffee, get comfortable and when you feel like it, join in a conversation or start one.  Best way to start one is with pictures, Captainkirk is hard of hearing and the pictures get his attention.

Hello, and welcome from Wisconsin! We would all love to see some of your firearms! I had two 2nd generation Colts, both new in the box and unfired. Notice the key word.....HAD! Sold them to a friend  a few years ago for half of what they are bringing now! Oh, they were a '51 and 1st Mdl. Dragoon.
