The Quick and the Dead

Now here...here's a Sam Elliott movie you can sink your teeth into! Sam Elliott plays Con Vallian in this Louis L'Amour novel adaptation...and pulls it off masterfully! If you are a Sam Elliott fan, this is one to watch.
A wagon train with a former schoolteacher, his beautiful wife and young son heading west meets up with a nest of badmen who decide they want what's on the wagon....wife included....and decide they're gonna take it.
Enter Vallian, who decides they're not.
Well worth the watch.

Free, with a subscription to Comcast Encore/Westerns this month. If you don't have Encore and you're a western buff (like me), you oughta...
Nice showing of a Dragoon by 'Red' in this one.

I have read the book numerous times and watched the movie years ago.  Both were well done.  Sam Elliott is a good western actor as is Tom Selleck.  I recommend both the book and the movie.

Haven't watched this one.  I'll put it down on my list of recommended movies to see.   My list has 176 entries.   I've crossed off about 10 so far.
