New grill
« on: July 21, 2015, 06:17:22 AM »
My ten year old four-burner gas grill finally rusted to the point where it was easier and cheaper to buy than to rebuild. So, I've been shopping the local stores for a replacement. I wanted to down-size now that the kids are both out of the house. Looked at the Webers, and Kitchenaids. Settled on the Char-broil infrared. Found last year's model on clearance at the local big box. Got the display model at about $100 off list price.

The grill...

Broke it in with a ribeye, and grilled vegetables...

The steak...

Rubbed...

Ribeye, stuffed portabellas, yams, bok choy, and zucchini...

I'm going to have to figure out cooking times again. This grill cooks differently than my old grill.

Darn it Miner! You are making me want to go out and BBQ now.  *6'

Those are very nice grills. My Dad has one Char-Broil and he loves it.  L@.

Hi, my Char-Broil grill gave out just as I was getting ready for a family party. I rushed off to Home Depot and bought a $99 Brinkmann grill just to get me through until I got the Char-Broil repaired. That new stove works great and should last at least 3yrs, $33/yr. I wrote a review on the Brinkmann, see #11 by Richard:
