I am, arrived!
« on: August 26, 2016, 08:03:13 PM »
Brevet Major Krylandalian Trell Laurendesh, Indifatigible Escodrilles, Preservation Administration, CDR- Protectorate echelon,- Critique and Evaluations Enforcement Inspector,  -Uniformed Armed Forces Services and civillian subsidiaries. Ft. Redwood. At your service.

Yeah! Here I am.  Still awaiting full compliment of uniform and arms.  Here at Ft. Redwood, all is going well.  Captain Samual Walker of the U.S.M.R. and TX Rangers, arrived for the integration ceremony and left me with a presentation gift.  A cased Colts Patent repeating arm- U.S. Model 1847 Holster Pistol.  This was several weeks ago.  He has since left. Returned to Mexico.  I hear there is some trouble down there. The shipment of M-47H s  have arrived and all Escodrills are to be issued a brace of them with full appendages.
The Indifatigables, here at ft. Redwood, took me in and made me a Bvt. Major.  Commanding officer of security and some other things.  I am still going through uniform and arms issuance.  All Escodrills are issued 2 M-47H (Pri), 1 M-61B (Sec), and 1 M-62P (Aux).  I am awaiting the M-62P and all the holsters and such.  Appendages are complete though.

Ok!  I have some things to share with everyone here, and have some questions too!!  Mainly about the Colts  U.S. Model 1847 Holster Pistol (Walker).

C'YA! for now.

I remain your most obt Servt in haste
K.D.T. Maj. Bvt. I.E.

I got the Colt bug when I saw a Colt Authentic Blackpowder Series 1st Dragoon in a gun store. Bought it,, and it went from there.  I discovered a C series 3rd Dragoon in a Dallas gun show. Got that.  I bought two ASM Walkers with Colt markings from Primitive Arms.  Bought one of their stainless ones but returned it. I refinished the Walkers with white cylinder, cylinder pressure ridge and other things to make them as realistic as they could be.  I even began buying stamp dies to place Co. Markings.  That did nt  happen though. I fired the crap out of them. Today they shake rattle and roll, due to wedge and barrel distortions.  I bought a ASM civilian 2nd Dragoon.  One of the best firearms I have ever had. Tight and   v e r y   good quality steel.  Col. Whittingtons book- The Whitney-ville Walker Pistol had just come out, I bought that.  I was at a gun show in OK and discovered a hard bound original- Sam Colts Own Record. I got it.
Went to a gun show here in Ft. Bragg a couple of weeks ago and saw a couple of replica Walkers. Got rejazzed and just bought a brace of 3rd gen Walkers from Collectors guns. I also got from them, a 3rd gen 60 Army. Got a 62 Pocket Police from Gunbrokers. Don t  know what gen it is.
I got a    l o t   of accessories from Dixi. Including full case and accessories for one of the Walkers and the 62 pocket.
I just bought half a hide of leather.  I am making belts and holsters for all of them. Accessory pouches too.

I am after a Pocket 49 and a Whitneyville Dragoon.

My intent is to  shoot the shite out of them!  Well, I am not going to shoot them, I am going to shoot the target with them!

Thank you all!  A warm reception indeed!  I can save more money to buy more Colts this way! , for with such a warm reception, I can turn down the heat!

Yeah, got it bad alright. , or good!  Point of view.  I get your meaning though.  Wow!  What fun!

I do have some knowledge and quite a bit of experience.  I also love the tech history of the Walker.  All the coorespondence and so on.  I have the 2  books-  Sam Colts Own Record and The Colt Whitneyville-Walker Pistol.  so, I can answer some questions along the lines of the inspiration, design, implimentation and so on regarding the Model 1847 Colts Patent pistol.
