Double Cylinder Pouch
« on: June 13, 2014, 07:15:25 AM »
Here's a couple photos of a double cylinder pouch I came up with.   Full flaps for each cylinder,  cylinders sit on a leather "shelf" so powder and dirt can't accumulate in the pouch and you can push the cylinder out from the bottom.
This could be made in a single pouch also.

Hi Mike, the double cylinder pouch looks very nice! What would be our cost to buy that pouch from you?

Regards,
Richard

Richard,  I didn't include a price because I didn't want to list these in the buy/sell/trade category yet.  Just trying to see what guys think of them.   I can send a pm to anyone interested now but I will put them in the "for sale" thread after I get some feed back.

Hi Mike, I look forward to your post in the buy/sell.

BTW, did you think that anyone would miss that you have 1858 Remington cylinders held in that pouch?  *k)

Regards,
Richard

Mike, I think they are awesome. I don't have any extra cylinders to put in them, but for those who do, they are top drawer IMHO.
But....aren't those REMMY cylinders in there? HERESY! (jh

Well.... yes they are Remington cylinders,  due to the fact that the whole rig was built for a 51/2 inch and 8/12 inch Remington combo.  Notice I did not leave the Remington revolvers in for the photos of the cylinder pouch out of respect.
If anyone is wondering Colt  '51 and '60 cylinders will fit the same pouch.   Walkers and Dragoons are a different matter.  The pocket revolvers would also require a different size.

I fully expected that someone would bring it up and I should have predicted that Richard with his keene eye for detail would be the first.

And for that you have my thanks.  I still think it was someone from that topstrap forum that stole our Banner Photo!

Snaps have been around and in use since the 1880s.  So anything before that should probably not use snaps.  I don't like them anyway but sometimes are neccesary.  Button studs or Sam Brown buttons come in a big variety and I like them because they look good and don't make any noise.
