10s,or 11s?

 CCI,or Remington's? How does one determine what cap is best for a gun. I am thinking of CCWing my 1860 "Thunderer" once in a while. What bothers me is making sure the thing will go off if spit hits the fan.That and keeping the caps from falling off. I was also thinking of putting some on Slick nipples (what ever they are called). How well do those work?   I carry a Ruger SP 101 357mag with a 3 inch barrel. I have 5 holsters for the thing,and only one fits,but it fits perfect in a Pistol Packaging Pancake. I will probably have Mike116 make me another one,that will be a cool half dozen. What the hell was the question?

Remington #10 caps fit Pietta factory nipples the best.    I believe that Slixshot nipples use #11 caps but I don't have any so I can't be sure.

It's all what your gun/nipples like. You may have to experiment.

For everyday use, the Pietta factory nipples are fine. They prefer Remington #10 caps.

I just got through shooting a 3 day SASS match with a pair of Uberti 1861 Navies sporting Slix Shot nipples and using #10 Remingtons.  All 150 caps went off first time.
