I spent a little time looking for ideas on the picture contest. The sky here has been hazy for a few days now from the smoke of the wildfires in the North and West.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon visiting with old friends. They had moved back to the area a year ago, but this is the first opportunity we had to visit since the pandemic.

Well I spent most of the day in my basement. its hot, and very humid.
I glass bedded the barrel,  to the stock, of my J P Murray Confederate Carbine. I allways get nervous when i glass bed a barrel. I had one Musket  that I never could get the barrel out after it set up. It shot real good tho.  I'll find out in the morning.

I went to the dump,
I went to the store,
I came back home
and played some more.

In spite of the heat and humidity, we got the lawn mowed. With both of us mowing (2 machines), it takes almost 2-1/2 hours.

Only been three years since I had grass like that to cut. I'd cut half one day and finish the next.

Smoked a new cigar for me. A Drunk Chicken "DCO"...... very good smoke. This cigar is a perfect companion to the backyard BBQ! Sorry for the sideways pic...... attachments have a mind of their own.
