Today, we had a snow storm. Did a lot of  snow rotoring and cleared up after a tree that got blown down.

Well, first I arose from my sleep, turned on the TV, got out of bed, went to the bathroom and took a leak.  Then I put garments on my bod, fixed some breakfast, and ate the breakfast. Gave little Pustic lots of mooches, went into town, then to the IGA and bought some grub.  I came home, gave little Pustic more mooches, put my grub away, gave little Pustic more mooches. Then I went in the ham shack, fired up the Icom IC-7300, went to the 20 meter band, then to the 10 meter band, gave little Pustic more mooches, then went back to the 20 meter band. Got on the computer, came here, and let you know what I did today, and gave little Pustic more mooches. But the day ain't over yet, it's only 3 PM.

So, I'll post this and give little Pustic more mooches.

got up. went through orientation of my temporary job, whilst I await my new Kenworth. (long story, don't ask)
came home. Debated as to whether the divorce grade fight with the wife meant anything, or if the marriage was just gonna ride the fence for another 5 years...
Found the '71 Lyman I bought from one of the Old Guard's on the '58 Forum last night, time to dust some BP today.
Helped the wife with accouterments for the American convoy, she's on the organizational board of the Idaho leg/wing/posse/call it what you will.
Now I'm fixing to attempt to hang the hoody I designed on Amazon and Canva, and see if that makes me anything.

Got a holster pattern from Will Gormley the other day. Sat down this morning and started making the first one....not gonna be perfect so this one I'll just keep for my Open Top. It's a copy of the holster Charlie Waite (Kevin Costner) wore in Open Range. Just a typical Mexican Loop....but Will's patterns come with enough different sizes to fit most every old west pistol and barrel length.

The holster is from the era around 1870 when the cattle drives were beginning to wind down due to the advancement of the railroad. So it makes a great period holster for BP through cartridge revolvers. The story is that the cowboys were using their pocket knives to cut out notches in their straight topped holsters to better access the trigger. Holster makers soon caught on and the rest is history.

Not sure I'll post a pic of the one I'm doing.....my stitching groover slipped.....so here is a pic from the cover of the pattern.

Damn, I know the feeling. There are ones I've made that I wouldn't show anyone. Like one I have going right now. I goofed up the bead and will finish it just to check my new pattern but it'll not be for public consumption.

That's a nice design. Will's patterns are top quality.

Yeah Will.... any time I make a new pattern, it's usually 2 holsters before I get things ironed out. For $50, the patterns pay for themselves.

Now I need to go sharpen my groover. lol.

That's a beautiful holster design Mick. I gotta get that pattern myself. My 72 would look perfect in that style of holster.

I also feel your pain about the slip. I've done it too. I have a whole bucket full of holsters that I'd never show anyone because of slips or crooked stitches. Goes with the territory I suppose.
