Watched Texas Rising  mini series.  All set in 1836 it seems.  I was hoping the Patterson would appear.  Nooooooop!

Oh well.

Kry, I'm not a grammar Nazi (but I play one on TV), but thought you might like to know that while it's pronounced "Patterson" it's spelled "Paterson" (as in Paterson, New Jersey)
See:

That being said, you can spell it any way you choose. I feel better now. L@J

I'm curious as to why he uses spaces instead of punctuation marks.

Got a series called-  Hell on Wheels.  The main charachter has a  ,   what looks like a 60 Army with a brass frame.  Someone in the show called it a  'Griswald'  ?

Anyone know what it is?

Y' All    k i l l   me.  You may ask me directly.

The spacing of the letters is a form of exclamation.  you know, emphasis.  Just something I picked up when I was in Europe.  Also, the device I am using (Samsung Galaxy Tablet) has its digital keyboard, where in order to access punctuations, I have to jump through hoops.  So,  I ll  space to simulate quotations, emphasis and apostrophes.

E.g,-   I  can t  believe you said that   a g a i n  !

I don t  send from a phone.

Got the series-  The Young Riders.  One episode, there is a badass that is sporting, what seems to be, two LeMats!

Never seen that one. You'll have to give us the rundown.
Historically, only a few Civil War Generals (notably Beauregard) used the LeMat, also J.E.B Stuart, Bragg, Anderson, and Wirtz. While roughly 900 revolvers were shipped to the Confederate Army and 600 to the Navy, it's not likely that many enlisted men ended up with any...not sure how that fits in with the movie storyline?
