sourdough, hope your not near the coast. I feel bad for our brothers and families in
Florida and North Carolina, flooding got to be very difficult.
Look forward to your photos.
Those folks in the Southeast have got it terribly bad.
We are 25 miles inland so not on the coast. We do, however, get winds here in the Willapa Hills and I have my fingers crossed we don't lose power. The deciduous tree leaves are still on the trees, so there is a greater chance trees will come down on local power lines with the winds which are forecast to be 40-60 MPH. We are prepared with the genset and fuel, but it is always a PITA when it happens. Our main concern is keeping all of our food stores cold (refer/freezer) and having heat (forced-air propane). During heavy winter rains we always have ponding here on the South Prairie, but unless we get 12" or more in the next few days, that is not much of concern insofar as flooding.
Thank you for your concerns, sir!
I am sorry to have hijacked this thread in my reply to Hewy.
I'll see you all when it is over, hopefully with pics. We'll see.
In the meantime, I am working on the new Pietta 1851, until something drastic happens.
