Hi Dellbert, I'm glad you found the information useful and it helped you with a decision on conversion cylinders. The more information we have, the better decisions we all can make.  L@. L@. L@.

Looks like Delbert beat me to it, but I did read through book One ,all 5 ...ah episodes ,of  the story beginning in 2014
up to a year ago this month. I think this will go into a bound book and look for book Two .........later ?
Great reading including the slight deviation of the hanging threats as well as self inflicted pain for wrong
doing.....chapter.
What a wonderful title "This Is The Ground I Plowed"

Richard, you posted some photos of your Converted 1851s I believe in episode 2 , would be nice to see them,as they have now dis could you do so please.

Hi Hewy, the photos are still there unless there was a problem with Photobucket when you checked? Here they are again:

Other than the Pietta Paterson, all my other 39 BP revolvers are used with conversion cylinders. The conversion cylinders lets me shoot many revolvers in a session allowing me a number of days before I need to clean them. Also, cleaning consists of just running a patch with Ballistol down the bore and cylinder chambers. I also shoot C&B using dozens of extra cylinders. I like shooting more than C&B loading at the range.

Regards,
Richard

There a a 41 Long Colt conversion available  for the 36 caliber belt revolvers that doesn't need heeled bullets.

I figured Kevin was mad at us.  Must have gotten over it.

Hi, I was wondering what ever happened to Kevin. Did he fall off his horse?

The .41 is an interesting idea until you learn the price of brass. Using 38 Special HBWC works well enough that the .36 revolver can be kept stock where it can shoot both 38 Special and C&B. If target accuracy is absolutely necessary, I would opt for an extra additional barrel lined for .357" projectiles.

Richard

Not mad, did not fall from anything, just realigning my life.

Sold a few things and moving on.

41 Colt Brass can be formed from 38 Special.
A little odd looking, but they claim it works.
I'm sure Hoof wouldn't mention it if it didn't work.
Something else to look at.
