An interesting powder horn

Ran across this in the used bin at my local gun shop today. It's about 9 inches overall.










I have no idea what it is or where it started. It could be a commercially available horn/kit. Or one that someone customized.

You must have a very nice LGS. All mine ever has is inline crap, Glocks and AR's.

Right now they have 3 Sharps rifles, all Pedersoli.

They have an 1859 Sharps Berdan in .54 caliber, an 1863 Sharps Sporting in 54 caliber, and an 1874 Sharps Sorting in .45-90.

They also have a Navy Arms 1851 Navy with original box at a higher price than I'd be willing to spend, and a couple of Traditions plain Jane Hawkin-style rifles that I have no interest in.

Nice find.  I like this kind of stuff.   Someone put in the the time and effort to make this horn either for them selves or maybe a friend.   

Capt.   I can't find stuff like this at any gun stores here either.   Antiques or BP holds no interest locally.
