Like all of Mike's vids, I thought it was very well done. He even shows the mods he did with the cylinder and the load aperture.

I think he caters to many folks who are not stuck in the replica Colt world, as am I.

That said, I do not like the Rem NMA as it does not fit my hand like the Colt-style curvature. Just me.

Richard, if you want a project, design/configure a Remington NMA with the Colt 1860 Army grip style/dimensions, and you will make a fortune. You can call it a Colmington or a Reminolt, kind of like the Smythons of many years ago.  ;-)

Regards,

Jim

Ummmm……  I think Richard owns more Remington revolvers than any of the rest of us.    This could be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Reading the leader I thought I’d finally been kicked off the forum and had a posse on my trail.

If I had a brand new NMA the last thing I’d do would be to go carving on it with a Dremel.  Bellevue’s rational may be other people’s guns, other people’s money.  Getting a capper and carving a mandrel that both fit the gun may be better solutions.

Public speakers need to practice controlled breathing and not let out a big sigh after every other sentence.  It’s a tick with Bellevue.  His delivery makes me feel like he’s being kept from something (else) important.   He’s an asset though - whatever the speech pattern,

Hi Mike, gee, I only own sixteen Remington revolvers. However, it's fair that you call me pot.  *6' *6' *6'

IMO the New Model Remington (1858) is in many ways a superior BP revolver than any of the percussion Colts. The Colts win the "Beauty is only skin deep" contest. I fell for the beauty big time in that I have many times more Colts than Remingtons.

Did I slip the rope?

Regards.
Richard

Hi Kirk, nice try, but one Remington gets you hanged right next to me on the Colt message board.  )l_ )l_ )l_

The only negative for the 1858 is knuckle busting. I know you use the pinkie curl, but IMO that compromises accuracy. Brad has the knuckle busting solution with his newly designed trigger guard. I wish he got his trigger guard on the market, it will sell like hot cakes.

If I didn't have modern handguns for family protection, I would feel very secure with an 1858.

Regards,
Richard
