My shots of today. Six rounds Colt navy (25 yards, red, no rest, not so good) and two shots Smith (blue, 25 meters, no rest, good enough)

Photo shot of the day:
.50 riffled pistol of unknown origin (prolly Swedish but with a Belgian barrel). Got it for nothing on a net auction,
Barrel OK but stock in bad shape and stock smallish (like for a small lady's hand) couldn't get my fore finger inside the TG. Made a new stock and TG. I think it was Pustic who had a tutorial about how to make a stock (lipstick stuff). I followed procedures and came up with this.

Next step was to add some frills, like a silver plate for the owners signature and a checkered grip.
It is a really good shooter.
I took it to a gun show , for sale, and included the moth eaten old stock. There was one guy that wanted to buy the old stock (he had the same gun but with a much worse stock. I wanted the whole package to go, but he insisted and at closing time I sold him the broken stock for $50 (and I still feel ashamed)).
Later I've been shooting the thing more frequently and have come to appreciate it. I use the same MiniƩr bullets that I use in the Smiths carbine.

I know this was posted a bit earlier, but this area has been a bit slow lately.

You never cease to amaze Em. That's a real beauty. A 50-70 carbine. That's why I asked you about the rifle you posted the other day. I was hoping it was a carbine. This one is perfect.

I notice we are all slacking a little on this thread...c'mon, fellers! Somebody needs to post a new pic every day. We can't leave it all up to Mazo!
