Wife's new truck
« on: March 22, 2015, 07:16:54 PM »
Just got back from Texas, where I spent a week helping my parents load a moving van for a move to Wisconsin. I then drove said moving van to Dallas, where we met my older brother, who drove them the rest of the way to Oshkosh, WI. There they will live near my younger brother. They decided they didn't need their Dodge Dakota, so I drove it back to AZ for my wife. This is going to become her primary set of wheels. I have my Jeep, and we have the Honda Fit as a "spare" vehicle.

The Dodge...

The Dodge behind my Jeep Patriot...

The Dodge was in Rural Texas, near oil fields, and needed two days of cleaning to meet my wife's minimum acceptable standards.

You got the wife a car?  Do we all have to do that?  By the way, I don't see a sponge in her hand.  Did you wash it for her too?

What is this world coming to?

My wife says you're very droll, and what's your address so she can express her appreciation in person...

I am still in Ohio.  Lived in Phoenix for about six months while working on a remodel project for CVS when they bought out the Albertson chain of pharmacies.  Got to travel all over Arizona.

Droll, adjective, amusing, whimsical,  Okay, that describes me fairly well.

I agree, I'm sure she will be happy with the vehicle. And it evidently hasn't seen any salt on the highways.

It started in AZ. Moved to TX, and is back in AZ. No snow to need salt for.

Took the Texas licence plate off when we got an AZ plate and it's now hanging in the bar at the local steakhouse we frequent.
