Felt like baking, so I dug out my mom's pfeffernusse recipe...

My grandmother used to make those when I was kid in Detroit! Do you use authentic German Lebkuchengewuerz or do you combine several spices to create that?

Got another 600 rounds of Malaysian surplus 7.62 into the house. It's now mixed in with the rest of my ammo. No proof it hasn't been there for ages...

Not today but yesterday. My wife got her back pay for disability and we spent the day car shopping. I haven't done anything today.

Car shopping can be fun........and patience trying. Hope she finds something she likes.

I've always swore I'd never own a Japanese car but we bought a Nissan Altima.

LOL.... I was exactly the same, but now the wife has a Toyota Highlander. Fortunately for me, early summer will have me back in my El Camino after a 15 year hiatus.

The Altima is a good car, you'll grow to like it.

Already do. This thing has more bells and whistles than Carter has little liver pills

I rented one for my yearly trip to Speedweek at the Bonneville Salt Flats a few years back. 3000 mile round trip with about 1000 miles on the salt. It did superb!

I didn't set a record though..... (7+"

(7+" For a four banger it has a lot more power than you'd expect. A lot more than the 24 valve DOHC V6 in the Taurus I had.

I bet. Mine is a 2.5 four cylinder with 175 HP but to drive it you'd swear it had an LS under the hood.

Spent some time feeling good about (temporarily) skipping a war with Iran.  Sometimes restraint in international relations is a wonderful thing.  The Donald just guaranteed his re-election with that.  Of course, according to the Com-progs he's still a racist peace monger, but whatever.

Spent the afternoon making paper cartridges. Relaxing and productive at the same time.

My wife referred to me as Grumpypotamus yesterday. I consider it a minor victory...
