Washout range report
« on: June 01, 2016, 08:10:23 PM »
I took out one Starr revolver last Saturday when a friend and I did a little shooting. The gun functioned well, but I didn't have the right sized round balls. I could seat the .451s I had with my finger! I'm thinking I will take .457s next time. Because of this, I only loaded two chambers and greased the mouths good. The #11 caps I had seemed to seat well enough, but I got fragments spit back onto my face. Always a good idea to have eye protection! I haven't measured the chambers yet, but the .451s seated well below the chamber mouths with 30 grains of fffg Goex.

Mazo; how are you liking the Starr?
I still have one on my 'short list' (a repro, not original) but as the repros are even rather pricey, wanted to hear your opinion and review!
