The Colt Single Action screwdriver set from Brownells works on all replica C&B revolvers

Hi Fingers, I had been using the Peacemaker Specialists screwdrivers, but ordered the ones you recommended and will give them a try. The bits are much lower cost than the Peacemaker Specialists, by far.

Regards,
Richard

Just ordered one. The bits I been using have been snapping on tight screws, These were name brand driver bits. I hope this solves the problem. Oh I just watched that youtube video and that is a good one to watch from time to time. Thanks Suntiger for posting it. There are a couple others on that page by Mike worth watching also.

Monday I got the Brownell bit sets I ordered.  I like em and the price was really right.  Dell, those bits should hold up good.

Once you get the hang of taking them all the way apart, it's amazing how simple it is ... And I marvel at the design...  Particularly when you think what came before it ... And we are still shooting them 160 years later

Hi, I bought a couple of sets of the bits and they worked very well. One set I gave to my son-in-law and kept the other. I kind of forgot about those bits and have been using my Peacemaker Specialists screw drivers. However, I notice that I was beginning to bugger up some of my revolver screws. Those Peacemaker Specialists screwdrivers now show a little edge wear, enough that they would sometimes pop out of a screw slot messing the screw head bluing. Going to the Brownell's bits has eliminated my buggering screws. I am so happy with those bits that I ordered a couple of more sets for backup, you know, be prepared.

Those Brownell's bits are highly recommended.

Regards,
Richard

+1 on that!

It’s been nearly a year now (hard to imagine) since I ordered extra sets to give out to some screw-head challenged pals.  It was an inexpensive way to play the hero for day.  I also included the web site info for VTI so they could replace their buggered screws.  I hate a buggered a screw head on these guns; hate em like sin.  When being shown another BP shooter’s guns those screws are the first place I look.

I sure value the set I got.  My BP revolvers rarely leave home without them.
