Back to your original question.....I have never heard of that company. When I buy Lee equipment, I use www.titanreloading.com. I get a dealer "discount" from Lee Precision and these guys are less expensive. Won't hurt to check 'em out to see who has the better price. Titan also charges just postal rates for shipping.

If you're not in a hurry, hang out at eBay, they often have round ball molds quite cheap.

I'm in the market for a Lee .319  90410 2 cavity round ball mold, TYKO seems
to have the best price.
Never heard of them before. Good  Co ?

Hewy,   would have answered this sooner but been without reliable internet since Friday.
I have purchase quite a lot from TYCO,    everything from melting pots to LEE molds.   I agree that their prices are the best I could find.    I have had excellent results in all transactions with TYCO.   They ship fast and all orders have been correct and well packaged.   Everything is in new unopened original boxes including any paperwork regarding the item.
I say all this because they are an EBay seller and some EBay folks sell supposedly new items without original packaging.
All in all I would not hesitate to buy more from TYCO and I won't hesitate to recommend them.

OK then, let me ask this. Will someone be willing to send me a few different sized round balls to determine
what is best ? Of course I will pay them :P

You folks are great. I asked, and got a nice variety of round balls and a few conicals to try.
.321, 323,330, 00Buck, and 0Buck.

Hewy, not sure but I think I have some .322 lying around if you want to try them too? I'll look around, let me know.

Results of size testing all five soft lead round ball samples , here is what I found .
Using the built in loading lever the three easiest to drive were:
.321 good
.323 better
.325 best
All three yielded a compression band  of .318 , with.325 having the widest band, thus my technical rating of BEST.
The .330 0Buck was very difficult and was able to only drive it into cylinder part way , got .320
.330 00Buck is hard lead too hard , would not budge.
The .325 conical  would not clear the opening to load on the gun.
Of couse the .325 round ball is the preference at this point , loads easy and has the the widest sealing band.
It will be intersting to see how they differ when shot.

None of the 3 shaved off a lead ring, the 0Buck might have, but way to difficult to seat.

Capt Kirk, I don't see that .322 you offer, would be much benefit. Uberti doese recommend .322
but I have found enough info to determine the size and persue a mold/mould.

Other than the brass mold that Whip uses, I don't see much in the 31caliber.
Looking into modifying Lee mold that throws .319

What I'm thinking is opening up the cavity with a tool to make it cast .325 or greater .

Any body have thought or experience in such mods?

I  ordered a Lee .319 mold. When it arrives I will proceed to enlarge the cavities
to .325 +/- . The method will be to use grinding compound applied to a ball and lap it in.

Got the Lee .319 mold today. When out to my gun shop and fired up the
lead casting pot , cleaned and smoked the mold. Dropped about 6 little shiny
jewels. Recycled those dropped 4 more and got perfect orbs.
Cooled and seated them in 1849. Perfect nice even compression band comfortable to load
using the guns ram.
All this talk about sizes differences , don't know whats going on but these look good to me.
I'm goin shooting. (@+

Range report on the .31 round balls. 1849 Pocket.
At the range this morniing while it was cool.
Used 12 grs Goex 3f #10 caps, all shot at 25 feet.
My cast round ball       .319-.320 ...POA high left   6"
Supplied by Richard     .323                              "  4"
Supplied by Whip         .325                             "   3"

                  15 gr       .323           again high Lf  1"
                      "          .325                               3"  probably me
Lee cast          "           .319                "             3"
330 buck hard cast and 330 soft lead could not be loaded on gun with rammer.
Conical .325 would not clear frame to easily, so no shot made.
See where this is going as predicted more powder better accuracy.

PS cap sucking Colt ? Nope not this one, all spent caps fell away but one got pinned side of cap loading cutout.
Nice gun I like it.
Thanks Richard and Whip.

Looks like the LEE .319 is going work for you.  Maybe you can still find a original brass mold that drops a big enough ball for your revolver.   I spent 3 years looking for an original .44 cal Winchester mold I could use.   Patience pays off.    In the mean time have fun with your '49 pocket that doesn't suck caps.

The Lee 319 seems to be good. My main goal was to easily load on
the gun. 15 grs filles the chamber so I'm happy. Yes would like to find
a brass mold like Whip found. If you hear of one, would appreciate a heads up.
By the way you have a great 100 yr old two pipe 12 gauge.

Glad to help Hewy, I'll keep my eyes open for a brass mold.  As you probably figured, I load the conicals off the gun with a press.

Load Conicals off the gun. I will do that .
I can find .36 brass molds all day, .31 are rare.
