The Second Gen - No, it's gonna stay NIB.  The others have been.  The one in picture 3 is gonna get a workout tomorrow - if the rain holds off long enough.  When I got the Nickeled one, it had been shot and put up dirty.  Took a week of soaking in BP laster/Kroil to get the nipples out.  It's got a failry good action on it; not as good as the one in picture 3 though.  It's like cocking and firing a '51 Navy.  I've got it up for sale; but may just keep it.

An example of poor quality control. ASM is famous for it.

Okayyyy, I just double checked it and it goes in from the correct side...hmmmm, maybe it was that brown acid back at Woodstock...LOL! For some reason, it always seemed like it went in from the left and not the right.

Uh, Nope, that's the way Col. Colt made em.

Eli Whitney made them the way Colt designed them.

For some reason, I thought it went in from the left, don't know why. It actually goes in from the right, the correct way.

No, actually, I've had pretty good service out of my ASM's for over 25 years.
