New book coming soon!!!
« on: August 18, 2019, 06:45:21 PM »
After 20 months of work, my new book titled “Collecting Modern Colt Blackpowder Revolvers” is at the printer. I hoping to have them in hand in early October. I’ll update the forum when they are ready to ship. This should become a go to reference book with lots of pictures and history surrounding the modern Colts and how they came to be.

Regards,

Eric

I think research books are almost more important than the guns themselves, especially at the onset.

I, too, am interested very much, but only if it is not a "coffee table" book. I already have one of those that is relegated to the bottom of the stack of books I have.

How many pages in the book?

Dr. Jim L. Davis started a website many years ago called Replica Percussion Revolver Collectors Association http://rprca.tripod.com/ which featured many photos of such revolvers. The problem with his site, IMO, is that he did not include manufacturer, date codes, importers, and other useful info concerning each gun pictured.

I hope yours is different, sir. Keep us informed, please.

Regards,

Jim

The book is done and released on Ebay now. You can search by title or by my name. Early reviews have been very good. Still waiting for Fingers to weigh in....

If I'm understanding it correctly his book is only about Colt and CBPAC revolvers.
