Pedersoli 209?
« on: October 14, 2019, 09:02:30 AM »
Hi, I have looked at this Pedersoli 209 derringer for some time:

https://www.dixiegunworks.com/index/page/product/product_id/8900/category/321/category_chain/312,318,321/product_name/PH0911+PEDERSOLI+GUARDIAN+209+DERRINGER++4.5MM

It has a rifled bore and uses 4.5mm lead balls and #209 primers for powder.

Does anyone here have any experience with this toy?

Regards,
Richard

Hi ssb - Zero experience with that 'toy' but it looks like fun (fun-toy).  At $267.50 I think I'll just stick with shooting my $45.00 4.5 mm spring powered pellet pistol. No gophers here. (7&

I wonder what velocity one may get with a 209 primer.  Anyway, too much money - too little gun.

For those from Rio Linda or the United Against Gun Violence Foundation the pellet pistol is not the Remington:

Hola Ricardo

I am (hopefully) taking delivery of a Ruger Old Army this week. The guy I'm buying it off had me buy some 209 shotgun primer nipples for it from a gunsmith in England.

I'm getting them off him as well as the revolver. The English gunsmith told me with a .457 round ball and NO POWDER they propel the round ball at 400 feet per second.

I'll chrono it when I get the chance to confirm.
