Hello Guys,
FYI, I just received a New LRH from Track Of The Wolf for my son's TC Hawkin, 50 cal. 1:28 twist.
I don't know if Green Mountain is making these again or if Track just broke down & special ordered some.

Hi Antique, last May I purchased one of those barrels from Track of the Wolf for one of my TC Hawkens:
https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/648/1/GMT-50-C-TC-32-B
Track of the Wolf seems to be the only place to buy new replacement barrels for the TC Hawken. The only issue I have with the barrel is that the ramrod doesn't lock into the stock. The hole for the retaining spring is at a different length on the barrel compared to the TC barrel.
Why did you get a barrel with such a fast twist? Worried about bullet stability? See:

Richard

Hello Richard,
Just thinking it might shoot with a little more accuracy.
Maybe I'm all wrong, but I do know the 1:48 TC didn't shoot that well.
This one is a GMT-50-C-TC-28-B, 28" long. I know the old ones were 32".

I know this is an older thread, but what are you shooting in that barrel? For what purpose? If hunting, are you shooting sabots? I have only used the slow twist barrels with round ball and they were effective hunting guns.

Hello Mazo,
We're shooting my RCBS 45-300-FN in a Sabot, for deer hunting.

Aaah, that makes sense. As I said, I have always been a traditionalist and only ever shot slow twist barrels.
