The Sisters Brothers
« on: February 18, 2020, 09:37:35 AM »
Watched this one on Amazon the other day. It's pretty good. They do use brass framed 60 Army's, but at least they're C&B. They also load the cylinders off the guns, and even do a couple cylinder swaps for reloading. Even with that, it was still entertaining.

I don't remember what movie it was now but I watched one a few years ago where a dude was loading a 58 Remington from the muzzle. :o

There is a guy on another forum wanting to do just that same thing:

Yeah but he is only wanting to put powder in the chambers. I wouldn't do it.

The one I saw poured powder down the muzzle and then rammed a ball down the muzzle.

Good Christ. When will these culls quit trying to reinvent the damn wheel? Always trying to cut corners and make it easy. Would not last 5 minutes in my world without getting throttled.

I'm with you Steve. I understand trying to make things easier, but not deliberately making it harder. I saw one comment that stated he was going to make a drop tube to load down the barrel.

Great googly moogly.

Loading a percussion revolver is no harder than lacing up your boots before daylight and grabbing a pinch of Copenhagen to go along with the first cup of coffee. Some of these fellers should dose themselves up with a big gob of Vagisil when they wake up.

Actor probably didn't know any better. Who knows what the armorer or director was thinking. Maybe they didn't know any better either. ???
