This is the shotgun that started it...

I got this gun almost 3 years ago and it was in a rusted relic condition. Nothing functioned.

Anyway, I worked on refinishing the stock and forearm, altered an aluminum buttplate to fit, and put the gun aside until a few weeks ago. Unlike Scoobie's gun, which had patina, the patina on this one was RUST. Sanded and scrubbed it down with 0000 steel wool, and tried some B-C Super Blue.
As it looks now.

I still have to see about making a "key" for the take-down screw, but the gun is shootable now. It is a W.H. Davenport "Acme" model 12 gauge.
