Got a smokin deal because it's a 2019 and the dealer wanted it off the lot. And it qualified for 0% financing.

Looks nice.  Why'd you trade the Patriot?

I've got a 2014 Ram that I got at the end of 2017.  Got it past 166k just before lockdown.

Because the Patriot was falling apart. After the second time it left one of us stranded at the side of the road it had to go. I feel a little sorry for whoever buys it. It looks good, but mechanically, it's junk.

My first truck was a used '75 3/4 ton 4X4 Power Wagon. I think the term "rides like a truck" must have come from an owner of same. It had a solid front axle and leaf springs all around, 6 ply high-pressure tires didn't help the ride any. My wife hated to drive or ride in it, but it was a REAL truck! My last truck was a 1/2 ton Chevy 4X4 and that rode like a car. Didn't have to get out and manually engage the front axle, just push a button on the dash for 4WD, high or low range. EM, I'm sure your new truck has been much improved over the one I had!

Depends on what you mean by "improved". It rides smooth and quiet, can tow 12,000 pounds, and has satellite radio. On the other hand it is full of expensive computers. It's not the sort of truck a shade tree mechanic can fix.

Yep, I don't even know what half the stuff under the hood does on our newer cars. You can't even get under them to change the oil!

I had a 24 valve double overhead cam V-6 in a Ford. You had to take half the intake off to replace the rear plugs but then I had a 76 Pontiac where you had to remove the right front tire to replace the plugs on that side so the bs started way back then.

Tell me about it.....first hand experience putting one together. Thank God for people that know things. One good thing is I set up the oil filter to be super easy to get to. Upper right in the pic in front of the inner fender well.

I bought a new 99 F150 4x4. The oil filter was under the fender behind the bumper. I like to not have ever found it. It was also my first experience with coils over plugs.
